A World Inside a Snow Globe: Copain’s Festive Winter Menu

This winter, Copain invited guests to step inside our Snow Globe — a dinner experience shaped by light, texture, and imagination.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

At home, dinners at Frederieke’s parents’ house always felt like dining at a restaurant — only warmer, more personal, and somehow a little magical. Her parents were true hosts. The table set with crisp linen and tall candles, the menu planned days in advance, and the children assigned their tasks: polishing glasses, folding napkins, or arranging flowers cut fresh from the garden.

The house would slowly transform. Copper pans gleamed, the smell of roasting and caramel filled the air, and music echoed softly through the rooms. Guests arrived in their finest, the fire crackled, and conversation flowed as easily as the wine. In that setting, time seemed to stretch; meals became stories, and stories became tradition.

Gatherings Around a Table Turn a Moment Into a Memory

That same spirit of care, creativity, and connection lives on at Copain. What began as a family ritual in a countryside barn has grown into a place where food, design, and hospitality meet.

Today, Frederieke and her team craft experiences that go beyond dining. Every plate, every texture, every candlelit table tells a story — designed to bring people closer together.

Hosting Groups This Winter

We love welcoming larger groups, in every shape and size — families, friends, or colleagues, whether it’s an intimate dinner or a festive celebration.

Long tables at the restaurant welcome groups of all kinds, while our private dining offers a warm, secluded space for up to 30 guests. Looking for something bigger? We can host full restaurant buyouts for up to 80 guests.

And if your celebration calls for something even grander, Copain travels well. We partner with beautiful locations across Amsterdam for groups over 80, and our team brings the full Copain experience to you.
